The Corrs is one of my favorite bands. Their songs are easy listening and so meaningful.
I just found a lyric of a song I like. This is a song about never giving up in life even though you face some bad situations some times. You're gonna be just fine. Keep optimistic :)

Book Review: Think Dinar!

I was searching for a proper,long-term way of investment and interested in Dinar. Then, few days ago, I bought this book at Gramedia.

Written by Endy J. Kurniawan, this book explains the urgency of investing in Dinar, namely the volatile value of Rupiah and other fiat money (even, the trend shows that Rupiah depreciates time by time, because of inflation), and how Dinar value is more stable in long terms, even  getting higher (if calculated by depreciating Rupiah) time by time, and also how it can be a part of applying the whole value of Islam (although non-muslims can invest with Dinar too).

The first chapter starts with convincing people to be eager to be rich. As a matter of fact, Muhammad was a very rich businessman. Wait, maybe since we were kids, we were taught that Islam teach us to be humble and Zuhud. Zuhud means living simply and not being too glamorous and too extravagant. But, what we need to know is, Zuhud is not the same with being poor. Poor is having no or very little amount of money then you have no choice beside living so simply. While Zuhud is a choice, it means you have money, but instead of wasting it to unimportant things, you use it for charity for the betterment of the society, sincerely because of Allah.
Moreover, when you are rich, you have more opportunities to help more people, and get more mercy from Allah.

Why Dinar?

Do you know that a single Dinar, a 4.25 grams of 22-carat gold coin, was priced Rp1.5 millions
 in December 2010, and it became Rp1.6millions in January 2011, Rp1.7 millions in March 2011, and Rp1.8 millions in May 2011? The trend shows a rapid increase of Dinar (if converted to Rupiah).

Dinar is standardized (22 carat, 4.25 grams). It is liquid, you could immediately convert it to money according to your needs. Regarding the instability of fiat money, Dinar is a good choice of saving and protecting your money value.

Well...
However, don't equalize Dinar with stocks. In a short term, trading Dinar may not be profitable. But, in a long term, it benefits you in many ways.

Of course if you want bigger returns and steady investment, establishing real business is better. But it's not mutually exclusive with investing in Dinar. With real business, you push the economy, create job opportunities, have more profits. And it usually needs big money. With Dinar, you protect your money value, and it doesn't need big money.

Read the book yourself to understand more about Dinar. I'm afraid my explanations here are too simplifying, and not comprehensive enough. :)

Stop to think and feel.

Hari ini saya sempat ngobrol singkat dengan bapak2 tukang ojek. Well. Thinking back his story, about his effort to work here and there, in as many places as he could work, to get his children to finish their education as high as possible... I somehow admire his spirit. He might have a limited ability but that doesn't stop him from trying. He has dream for a better life for his family, especially the better education that his place of origin doesn't have. I hope he can reach his dream and be happy with his family. :')

My Office's Library

I like to visit my office's library. It's on the second floor of Archive Building. I love the way they collect various magazines beside the academical books and the collections of rules and policies :)

SENSE Award

Baru tau, saya dapet SENSE AWARD nihh dari Ilham Menulis, hihi :)

Saya masih inget, dulu pertama-tama lihat blognya Ilham (waktu itu kami tingkat 2, berarti sekitar 2009-2010), saya langsung tertarik. Selain ada puisi melankolis (ciee...haha), ada juga cerita-cerita bersambung yang seru.

By the way, Ilham adalah temen sekelas saya waktu kuliah di tingkat 2. Ia juga temen kelompok belajar saya yang namanya FLIP IT SAM, yang merupakan akronim nama anggota-anggotanya: Fera, LIPo, Ilham, Tasa, SAri, dan braM. Hahaha. Kalo dipikir-pikir, itu masa yang lucu juga. :)
